The Philadelphia 76ers are making history...for all the wrong reasons.

The 76ers 16th straight game to start the season and 26th straight game overall.

Philadelphia went down to the Boston Celtics 84-80 on Wednesday night, despite leading by as much as 11 points early in the final quarter.

Boston's Isaiah Thomas scored a game high 30 points, while Philadelphia's Jahil Okafor scored 19.

Boston are 8-7 after 15 games.

They have now tied the the major U.S. professional sports losing record set by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 1976-77.

They are two losses away from the worst ever start to an NBA season of 0-18, set by the then New Jersey Nets and they now hold the record for the most consecutive losses in NBA history (26).
