Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov has rocketed back into the world's top 10, with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Australian Nick Kyrgios in the final of the Cincinnati Masters.

Kyrgios, who has been in stellar form this week, defeated Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer on his way to the final, but couldn't match Dimitrov's consistency and athleticism.

The win is Dimitrov's seventh career title and his first ATP 1000 Masters title.

Dimitrov did not drop a set in the tournament, as he completed the perfect tune up for this month's US Open.

Kyrgios' ranking will also improve, as he moves from No.23 in the world, to No.18. This means he will enjoy a top-16 seeding at the US Open, given Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka and Novak Djokovic have all pulled out of the tournament.
