Socceroos defender Ivan Franjic says that Australia won't be taking their opponents lightly come Wednesday's first World Cup Qualifier.
The Asian Cup Champions are expected to brush tonight's opponents, with the Socceroos ranked 114 places above their opponents.
But Franjic says that inside the camp, they remain focused on the task at hand.
"That's the beauty of football. Every game is different, every opponent is different, we just have to head out there and worry about ourselves if we want to get that great start," he said.
"We can't control what Kyrgyzstan will do, the way they approach the match or the things they have in store for us. What we won't do is underestimate them or think it's an easy three points. During the Asian Cup, we really worked hard on making sure we approached each game and each opponent with respect.
"That continued on when we played against Germany and even Macedonia. It's held us in good stead to think more about ourselves than our opponents and we'll keep doing that."
"We've been working hard in camp, a few boys haven't played for a couple of weeks as most of the global leagues are in a break, so it's been about getting rid of the cobwebs. Now everyone is looking good and fit again and we're ready to go."
Franjic recently agreed to terms to join A-League club Melbourne City from Russian club Torpedo Moscow.
Kick-off is at midnight on Wednesday July 17, Australian Eastern Standard Time.
