The Essendon Football Club have launched a Twitter campaign to get Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons into the 2019 All-Star Game.
Bombers midfielder Zach Merrett posted a video to Essendon's Twitter account, encouraging fans to vote for the Melbourne-born guard.
"Bomber fans, it's time to get around one of our own," Merrett exclaims in the footage.
"Ben Simmons, a mighty Bombers supports, is vying to become the first Australian in the All-Star game, but he needs your help."
"Best of luck Ben we're all behind you."
In the latest return of the All-Star ballot, Simmons was sitting fourth among the Eastern Conference guards with 695,032 votes.

The former pick No. 1 continues to put up stellar numbers in his sophomore season, averaging 16.7 points, 9.5 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game for the fourth-placed Sixers (29-16).
The All-Star game will take place on Monday February 18 in Charlotte (AEST).
