The first of two Match Days in the Round of 16 gets underway on Wednesday night, as eight spots in the quarter finals are up for grabs.
Blacktown City v Bonnyrigg White Eagles
Lily's football Centre, Seven Hills (NSW)
7.30pm AEST
The Round of 16 kicks off with a western Sydney derby, as two NPL NSW clubs will go head-to-head for a spot in the final eight.
Blacktown came back from 2-0 down to beat Sydney United 58 6-2 in extra time in the Round of 32, as Danny Choi's 70-metre wonder strike had the nation talking.
Bonnyrigg kept a clean sheet to help them advance to this stage of the competition, after defeating Manly United 3-0 last round.
No NPL NSW clubs have ever made the quarter finals of the FFA Cup, so one club will create history on Wednesday night.
Brisbane Strikers v Melbourne City
Perry Park, Bowen Hills (QLD)
7.30pm AEST
Tim Cahill will make his first appearance in Melbourne City colours on Wednesday night when Melbourne travel to Brisbane to face the Strikers.
City were given a scare in the Round of 32 by Floreat Athena, but a brilliant strike from Anthony Caceres sent his side through to the next round.
Brisbane will finally get to host a home match in the FFA Cup after appearing in all three editions of the tournament so far.
The Strikers claimed the largest victory of the previous stage, smashing Rovers Darwin 6-0 en route to this Round of 16 appearance.
Perry Park has officially been declared a sell-out for Wednesday's game, and both sides will be itching to grab the quarter final berth.
Canberra Olympic v Redlands United
Deakin Stadium, Deakin (ACT)
7.30pm AEST
During the Round of 32 matches, Redlands United pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the history of the FFA Cup.
An extra-time winner to Paul O'Brien lifted Redlandsย to a 2-1 win over A-League champions Adelaide United, in one of the biggest moments of the club's 99-year existence.
Canberra Olympic won through after defeating Surfers Paradise Apollo in Canberra, and have also won the right to host this match at home.
There's no doubt Redlands will be high on confidence after their last stage result, but Canberra will be a tough team to beat at home and this match should be an exciting one.
Hume City v Melbourne Victory
ABD Stadium, Broadmeadows (VIC)
7.30pm AEST
After meeting in the semi-finals of the FFA Cup last season, these two Victorian sides will go head-to-head again in the Round of 16.
It was the Victory that progressed through to the final after a 3-0 win over Hume last year, but the NPL VIC club will be ready to have another shot at one of the biggest team's in the country.
Despite missing out on NPL VIC finals this season Hume will have plenty of belief in front of their home crowd that an upset can be caused, and Melbourne will need to be at their best to dispose of Hume once again.
