World No.1 Novak Djokovic has cruised past Canadian Milos Raonic 6-2, 6-0 to claim a record fifth title at Indian Wells.
The Serbian has now won 27 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 events, drawing level with nine-time french Open winner Rafael Nadal.
"It has obviously been a great couple of weeks," Djokovic said.
"To win this tournament five times is a fantastic achievement for my team and I.
"We don't take anything for granted, especially because this tournament has been, for many, many players, a favorite tournament. All the top players each year competing and trying to win it.
"Players are very welcome. The spectators are sharing their passion and love for the sport with us, and in this kind of environment you are obviously inspired to play your best."
Djokovic lost only three points in the second set as he swept Raonic aside in just 88 minutes.
Raonic left the court for treatment after the opening set, but said it did not affect his performance.
"I don't think it affected my effort. I thought he played much better than I did. I struggled again, just like last time, to start the match well, and then he's the best player in the world at this moment and a good step ahead of everybody. He took the most advantage of that," Raonic said.
The win is Djokovic's third title of the year and earns the 28-year-old US$1,028,300 in prize money and 1000 ATP Rankings points.
