Two of the biggest deals on deadline day were made in London overnight, as David Luiz returned to Chelsea, and Moussa Sissoko made the switch to Tottenham.
Luiz was sold to PSG from Chelsea in 2014 and became the world's most expensive defender with theย ยฃ50 million sale, although the Blues were able to bring him back for a fraction of the price, reportedly payingย ยฃ32 million for the Brazilian.
The 29-year-old made 143 appearances for Chelsea in his first stint at the club, and helped the Blues win their first Champions League title back in 2012.
โI'm delighted to return to Chelsea. We had a fantastic story during my first time at the club and I want to help the team and Antonio Conte achieve a lot of success,โ Luiz told Chelsea's website.
โI always had a wonderful relationship with the fans and I am looking forward to wearing the blue shirt at Stamford Bridge once again.โ
Not to be outdone by their cross-town rivals, Tottenham have sealed a deal to bring Sissoko to White Hart Lane.
Newcastle were holding out forย ยฃ30 million for the French international, and originally both Tottenham and Everton submitted bids matching that value.
It was then reported that Sissoko preferred a move to Tottenham, even dodging the Toffees' advances to push a deal through in London.
The deal has been made official by the man himself, as he posted a photo on Twitter holding a Tottenham shirt with the comment reading, 'Very happy to join @SpursOfficial for the next 5 years !'
