Australian batter Phoebe Litchfield has displayed a match-winning performance with the bat leading Penrith to claim their first-ever NSW Women's Premier Cricket premiership.
Chasing 160 in 50 overs, Litchfield only needed 25 overs to get her side over the line against Northern District.
Producing a batting masterclass the young Australian international took on every bowler, earning herself 99 runs from 75 deliveries. This included getting the ball to the boundary on 17 occasions.
Since making her Aussie international debut, Litchfield has been in incredible form. In seven innings with the bat, the 19-year-old has notched up 461 runs at an average of 92.2 runs an inning.
Whilst, Penrith cruised to their very first premiership. Litchfield was unfortunately dismissed for 99 runs, and only nine runs away from the target score.
Although, there was little disappointment in her facial expressions as she celebrated with her teammates after an emphatic nine-wicket victory.
It meant everything to her and her teammates, as Penrith suffered a horror defeat in last season's Grand Final.
