Jarryd Hayne will continue his NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers following confirmationย he has signedย withย the practice squad after clearing waivers.
Shortly after Hayne cleared waivers, the 49ers signedย veteran running back Shaun Draughn on a one-year contract after a team workout. Another running back,ย Ben Tate, is also set to work out for the team this week.
The move for more running backsย follows serious injuries to existing running backs Carlos Hyde, Reggie Bush and Mike Davis. Bush's career might be over with a suspected torn ACL, while Davis has surgery on a broken hand on Tuesday.

It's unclear yet whether Hayne will return to the 53-man roster any time soon but for now, he will continue to work on his game with the 49ers.
