Golden State Warriors and Australian Boomers' star Andrew Bogut believes Ben Simmons has the tools to be the best Aussie basketballer of all time.
Simmons is currently plying his trade at Louisiana State University and is expected to selected with the number one or two pick at next year's draft.
However, he has received criticism of late, with his brilliant numbers unable to stop LSU from having a disappointing season.
But Bogut believes Simmons will be the best basketballer Australia has ever produced.
"He's embracing that and I know he's in the gym even more than he was before with all this, with them nitpicking his game," Bogut told US writer Bill Simmons when asked about Simmons' lack of an outside jump shot.
"He'll continue to work hard and he probably will be the best Australian player to play in the NBA.
"A lot of people perceive it has him being cocky or arrogant, but you need a little bit of that.
"You need it in the right dose and I think he has the right dose of it. I think it's driven him.
