Memphis Grizzlies: David Fizdale

Just three weeks after firing former head coach Dave Joerger, the Memphis Grizzlies have hired long-time Miami Heat assistant David Fizdale, long touted as a future head man in the NBA.

Memphis have lately been known for firing coaches who seemingly have the team in good shape, and that trend continues with Joerger being dismissed after three seasons and three playoffs appearances.

Fizdale has had many interviews for head coaching positions in the league before this one, and was recently promoted in the last few seasons to associate head coach to Erik Spoelstra in Miami.

Given his pedigree as assistant at five different NBA and NCAA teams, it was a matter of time before Fizdale found himself in a top job. As much as they are known for their fires, the Grizzlies are also known for their hires, and this shapes as another good one in Tennessee.

New York Knicks: Jeff Hornacek

Despite already being hired and fired as an NBA head coach, Jeff Hornacek is still relatively new to the profession, having only started his journey in 2011 as an assistant at the Utah Jazz.

Hornacek spent the last three seasons coaching the Phoenix Suns, who unfortunately went in the wrong direction during his time there, albeit whilst attempting to rebuild their squad.

This is another fairly peculiar move from Phil Jackson. Jeff Hornacek has no experience playing in or running Jackson's triangle offence, and is still very inexperienced. A rather un-instinctive hire.

Orlando Magic: Frank Vogel

Former Indiana Pacers head coach Frank Vogel was never going to be a free agent for long, and it took only 15 days for him to be officially dismissed and hired, which speaks of his talent.

In his time with Indiana, Vogel missed the playoffs only once (the year Paul George was injured), and made two conference finals, almost topping LeBron James' Heat in Game Seven.

Vogel took a young Pacers group with unlimited potential and realised it, which is about all that can be asked for from a head coach. He has the tools to do the same at the Orlando Magic, and one would back Vogel to be the coach to take them to their next era of playoffs supremacy.

Sacramento Kings: Dave Joerger

Dave Joerger was unearthed by the Memphis Grizzlies organisation, and over his three years there, amassed almost a .600 record - impressive for any head coach.

After a season and a half of relatively disappointing basketball under the mightily experienced George Karl, the Sacramento Kings dismissed him, deciding to bail out on the old school and bring in the new school, hiring Joerger as their new top man.

Joerger has worked with and experienced success coaching a talented big man similar to DeMarcus Cousins, which will be Sacramento's main concern. However, the ‘Joergerbomb' has his work cut out for him in attempting to reel in a squad that ranks among the most uncoachable in the league.

If George Karl did not have the experience to do so, doe he?
