Australianย Keanu Pinder and his Arizona Wildcats have marched into the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament following a comfortable 69-60 win over Australian-loaded Saint Mary Gaels.
Australian Jock Landale finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds and four assists for the Gaels while Tanner Krebs had 12 points in 17 minutes off the bench.
Pinder and the Wildcats will now play Xavier on Friday (AEST).
Elsewhere, No.2 seed Louisville, were upset by Michigan 73-69 on Sunday. Melbourne's Deng Adel and Mangok Mathiang, the latter of whom has played his last game for Louisville, were vital for the Wildcats.
"I have no regrets in tonight's game," Mathiang said, after scoring 13 points from 6-7 shooting in the loss.
Baylor's Jo Lual Acuil Jr. had a quiet night in the Bears' second round win following up from his 16-point performance in their win against New Mexico State. Baylor now face South Carolina who knocked off Duke in the biggest upset of the tournament so far.
Florida's Gorjok Gak takes on Wisconsin on Saturday with the big man making a solid contribution in the Gators two wins thus far.
Will Isaac Humphries get a mention from the outspoken LaVar Ball following Kentucky's game against UCLA?
