Spaniard Sergio Garcia has claimed his first ever Major, winning the US Masters in a playoff hole against England's Justin Rose.

Garcia's win snaps the second-longest active winless streak in Majors championships in his 74th attempt.

The 37-year-old had a putt to win it on the 18th hole, however, he missed and it went to a playoff.

After Rose's drive went into the trees on the right-hand side of the fairway, Garcia was in the box seat and he made noย mistake, draining his 12-foot putt to win.

The pair finished at 9-under pair, three ahead of Charl Schwartzel on 6-under, with Matt Kuchar and Thomas Pieters a further shot back at 5-under par.
