Tottenham have been dealt a big blow just one week into the Premier League season, as first choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will miss the next month of football through injury.
The Frenchman sustained a hamstring injury during the 5th minute of the Spurs' 1-1 draw at Everton, and Lloris was substituted 10 minutes before half time after being unable to overcome the injury.
Michel Vorm replaced the 29-year-old in goals, and it was later revealed that Lloris would miss around four weeks as the club issued a statement on the injury.
The statement read: "Following further assessment and scans of the left hamstring injury sustained by Hugo Lloris in the 1-1 draw at Everton on Saturday, we can confirm he is expected to be out of action for around four weeks.
"Our captain left the field during the first half at Goodison Park and our medical team will continue to monitor his progress during his rehabilitation to determine when he will be ready to return to training."
Lloris will miss Premier League matches against Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Stoke.
