An Argentinian superstar back from injury, another poor result for a highly ranked Frenchman and a young Aussie star on fire on the way to his first title.
There was plenty going on in the ATP Tour this week.
Bernard Tomic back to his old ways?
After two poor weeks in a row, losing to players outside the world top-50 and top-80, there are cracks beginning to show in Bernard Tomic's game that were not vulnerable at the start of the year.
Everyone knows that making Bernie run is always a good place to start en route to victory against the young Aussie, but at the start of the year, both his previous two opponents are matches he wins easily.
Let's hope this is just a minor slump and he gets back to showing the positive form he was at the start of the year, including regaining his spot in the world top-20.
Welcome back Juan Martin del Potro!
Tour favourite Juan Martin del Potro made his return to competitive tennis this week after two years ruined by a wrist injury.
On route to the semi-final of Delray Beach, JMDP toppled Dennis Kudla, John-Patrick Smith and most impressively world #31 Jeremy Chardy, before being defeated by Sam Querry.
Well done on a courageous comeback Juan Martin. At only age 27, there's still plenty of good tennis in you.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga not impressing in the lead up to the French Open
If Bernard Tomic has had a disappointing two weeks, world number 9 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has had a nightmare fortnight.
After losing to Nicolas Almagro in the quarter-finals at Buenos Aires, just a few days later he lost to Brazilian Thiago Monteiro, at the time ranked outside the world's top 300.
Just a few months out from the French Open, this is not the kind of form Tsonga will want to be showing at his home slam. After making the semi-finals last year, he still lusts to become the first Frenchman to win the slam since Yannick Noah in 1983.
Performer of the Week: Nick Kyrgios
It's near impossible to give these honours this week to anyone else – Nick Kyrgios was simply unstoppable this week on his way to his maiden title in Marseille.
Nick steamrolled Marin Cilic, Richard Gasquet and most impressively, Tomas Berdych, showing that with a bit of focus and determination, he certainly has the walk to go with the talk.
Just missing out on the top-five seeds in Dubai, all eyes will be on how the young Aussie backs up for a second tournament in consecutive weeks.
Congratulations to: Guido Pella
Before last week, young Argentine Guido Pella had never been past the quarters at an ATP level event.
This week, he made the final in Rio de Janeiro, losing a closely fought three-setter to Pablo Cuevas.
He had also never been to the top-50 before this week, but now sits at #41 in the world. He does not play this week, but has certainly earned his week off after a career-best week.
