Glenn Maxwell has created history, equalling Indian batter Rohit Sharma for the most centuries in men's T20I.
Batting against the West Indies on Sunday evening, Maxwell slammed an impressive 120 runs off 55 deliveries to record his fifth century in the T20 international format.
Entering the crease to partner David Warner after the wickets of Josh Inglis and Mitchell Marsh, T20's most-watchable player put on a show with hard-hitting slogs, innovative shots and his well-known reverse sweeps.
After equalling the record with Rohit Sharma, Maxwell reflected on his previous visits to Adelaide in which he doesn't have the best history - sustaining a leg injury and being taken to the hospital with dehydration.
โIt probably affected my family a little more than it affected me,โ he said via theย SMH.
โI was back into training, still trying to think about this T20 series and the New Zealand T20 series, so I was pretty focused on what I had to do.
โI had that week off and obviously that incident was less than ideal ... but I had that week off away from the game and came back and got back into my running and gym program and it felt really good.โ
