As England aims to recover after losing the Test series against India, bowler James Anderson has achieved a new record to add to his career.
Anderson has become the first seam bowler to claim 700 Test wickets and the third bowler of all-time to pass the 700 wickets mark, joining spinners Muthiah Muralidaran (800) and Shane Warne (708).
The record-breaking feat occurred as he dismissed Shubman Gill for 110.
His illustrious career sees him nearly 100 wickets clear of the next most prolific seam bowler in the history of Test cricket, with the next being former teammate Stuart Broad with 604 wickets.
"It is a superb achievement," Anderson's former captain Alastair Cook said on TNT Sports.
"His hunger to get better and win games of cricket for England is unbelievable.
"The physical challenges he has overcome to be able to play nearly 190 Test matches is a joke and his skill is a joke."
