During the early stages of every season, the golfing world converges at TPC Sawgrass for the unofficial fifth major: The Players Championship.
Across the past 49 tournaments, a slew of superstars have saluted on the final day after navigating island greens and the beating Florida sun.
However, none of these champions has recorded the lowest round of all time.
That honour remains with Tom Hoge after shooting a 10-under score of 62 during the third round of the 2023 Players Championship, finishing the day with 10 birdies - a remarkable feat considering the North Carolina native had shot 72 on the Thursday.
"I didn't even know it was a course record until after we got done in the scoring there," Hoge said post-round.
"Today was going to be the day to do it if you were going to out here because it was soft with little wind, so you felt like you could make birdies and keep trying to make birdies."
Prior to setting the current record, the tournament record was set at 63, with nine players sharing in the lead.
Still, firing off a hot round is not guarentee of overall success, with only four of this group going on to celebrate on the Sunday.
