Former Brooklyn Nets power forward Jacob Wiley will reportedly not return to the Adelaide 36ers for the next NBL season.
Returning to the 36ers last season after a previous stint with the team during the 2018-19 NBL season, Wiley's mutual option to extend his tenure at the club will not be exercised, per reports from ESPN's Olgun Uluc.
Turning his back on an extra season in the NBL, the 29-year-old recently signed with Spanish team Fundacion CB Granada for the remainder of the 2023-24 season in the Liga ACB competition.
Wiley's career also includes stints with the Long Island Nets, Panathinaikos, Gran Canaria, Real Bets and Shiga Lakes.
Wiley has also achieved honours such as being the 2017 Big Sky Player of the Year, BSN champion in 2022 and two-time first-ream All-Frontier player in 2015 and 2016.
The Adelaide 36ers have five players contracted for next season: Dejan Vasiljevic, Isaac Humphries, Jason Cadee, Sunday Dech and Trentyn Flowers, while Nick Marshall has a team option in his contract.
According toย Code Sports, the South Australian franchise has been linked to centre Tahjere McCall (Cairns Taipans), who has floated around as a potential target for the team.
Jacob Wileyโs mutual option with the Adelaide 36ers for the 2024-25 NBL season will not be exercised, sources told ESPN.
