Former Australian Test, One Day and T20 representative Cameron White has been appointed as the head coach of BBL franchise the Melbourne Renegades.
The 40-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Victorian club just over a month on from David Saker's departure.
The Renegades confirmed the addition of White, a former player for the club, on Friday as well as the addition of Wade Seccombe, who will take on the role of High Performance Manager.
"We're absolutely thrilled to have Cameron on board," Melbourne Renegades General Manager James Rosengarten said in a club statement.
"He's a favourite son at the 'Gades, his connection with our Club runs deep having contributed heavily to our story with the bat and by achieving the ultimate success.
"His knowledge of the game, particularly T20 cricket, is also undisputed. We completed a global search process to fill this role. Cam stood out with his vision for the Club and this playing group."
A member of the Renegades' championship-winning BBL|08 side, White played 35 of his 75 career BBL matches in red and sits fifth on the club's all-time runs leaderboard.
White has held a number of assistant coaching roles since calling time on his 20-year playing career in 2020, with the Victorian great now set to lead the Renegades for the next three BBL campaigns.
"I've got so many great memories here, as a player and achieving success, so to be back in Renegades colours several years later is a thrill," White said.
"The idea of working with this playing group, some really exciting players there, both young and experienced, is a really exciting.
"I'm really looking forward to ripping in and starting my journey as coach."
The Renegades finished BBL|13 in seventh on the ladder, amassing just two wins from their 10 matches.
