The Baltimore Orioles have reportedly signed former All-Star Garrett Cooper to a minor-league contract.
Awaiting his next MLB (Major League Baseball) opportunity, Cooper began his career with the New York Yankees before being shafted to the Miami Marlins, San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox.
A 2022 All-Star, the first-baseman will join the Orioles on a minor league contract, making it his third organisation in the 2024 MLB season, per Craig Mish of SportsGrid.

After putting together a string of solid performances in the first half of last season, he was targeted by the Padres but became a free agent later that year and has struggled to cement a spot in an organisation.
Recently signing a minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs he managed 12 showings and went for 10-for-37 with a home run and six RBI but was then shipped off to the Boston Red Sox.
At the Red Sox he managed 24 games but struggled to find consistency and was ultimately released from the remainder of his contract.
Throughout his career, he has hit 57 homers, has a batting average of .265 and had 233 RBIs.
The Baltimore Orioles currently sit in second place behind the New York Yankees in the American League East division with 49 wins and 29 losses.
