Indian star Rishabh Pant has been injured in a serious car accident in which his BMW crashed into a divider.

Pant was initially admitted to Roorkee hospital then transferred to Max Hospital in Dehradun.

He is seen to have some injuries to his face, legs and significant burn injuries to his back due to his vehicle catching on fire.

The full extent of the injuries is still unknown with more details to be surfaced in the coming hours and days.

Pant has already received words of support from the likes of VVS Laxman and many cricket fans in India and around the world. Laxman is the current National Cricket Academy chief in Bengaluru, and stated Pant is "out of danger".
