Veteranย James Anderson is looking forward to continuing his 20-year test career in the Ashes series beginning on June 16th in England.
The superstar wicket-taker has been a vital part of the current England squad's new mentality known as โBaz Ball' that has seen them play ultra-aggressive in search of victory.
This new style has been paying dividends of late after England achieved a whitewash series victory over Pakistan in December last year, taking out all three tests in thrilling fashion.
Anderson himself played the first two tests and took eight wickets, proving once again that he is ageless.
Speaking to the Independent, Anderson turned his eyes to the Ashes and predicted another exciting series.
โIt's exciting to be in this team. Whoever we play it's going to be fun, we're going to give it a good crack and Australia in the summer could just be incredible,โ he said.
โI can't see them (the Australians) doing anything but going toe-to-toe. They're going to fight fire with fire and that's going to make it so explosive and exciting.

This level of excitement was nowhere to be seen during the last Ashes series in 2021-22 when Australia eased past a dejected English side to a four-nothing series win, and the drastic change is all down to new captain Ben Stokes and new coach Brendon McCullum.

The all-time leading fast-bowling wicket-taker will again be a key threat to Australia come June, and should Anderson and his team find a way to win the series, it will be the first time they've won the Ashes since 2015.
