The Perth Scorchers are once again set to feature at the very pointy end of the season on Saturday night where they will try and take home their fifth Big Bash League title.
After putting the Sixers to the sword on Saturday night in front of over 41,000 people, the Scorchers have secured a home final in front of their loyal supporters at Optus Stadium for BBL|12.
In the first four hours since tickets were released at 3:00 pm AEST, over 34,000 tickets were snapped up.
Speaking on the home-ground advantage, star captain Ashton Turner said it was a factor that buoys his side.
"We know that we've got a real competitive advantage with conditions here in Perth and the dimensions of the ground and the wicket, (so) we've got a lot of confidence playing here," he said, viaย cricket.com.au.ย
The seven-time finalists are set to play the other ever-prominent Sydney Sixers or the jacked-up Brisbane Heat in the final.
Further tickets for the big dance will be released on Thursday once the other finalist is decided.
Unfortunately for the Scorchers, 'wild thing' Lance Morris is set to join the Australian squad ahead of their tour with India, meaning that Adam Voges will be forced into a change.
Turner has outlined two bowlers likely to take his spot; those being leg-spinner Peter Hatzoglou and all-rounder Matt Kelly.
"Peter Hatzoglou has bowled really nicely for us over a couple of years now and he was really unfortunate to miss selection," Turner said.
"He's someone who should be playing at this level, who has got a proven track record (and) he's won us games.
"Rewind two games ago to Adelaide and he takes three-for for us and bowls beautifully to a short leg-side boundary.
"It's difficult to not reward performances like that but that's the nature of being in a good side, there's going to be some unfortunate selections.
"But with Lance missing next weekend there's an opportunity whether it be Matt Kelly (who missed the match against the Sixers with concussion) or Peter Hatzoglou.
"The depth of our squad is something that we've prided ourselves on for a long period of time and we're fortunate that we've got options to pick from.
"Our fast bowling attack in particular has got us to this stage of the competition, they've been as good as any fast bowling attack in this league and they've continued to give our batters a chance to win games."
Meanwhile, gun fast bowler Jhye Richardson appears unlikely to recover from a hamstring injury in time to be selected.
The Scorchers have been a model of consistency throughout the history of the BBL, having made it to eight of the 12 BBL deciders.
Should they win on Saturday night, they will take their total titles up to five, going two ahead of the Sixers who currently sit on three.
