The Sydney Sixers have confirmed Jordan Silk will remain with the club for at least the next three summers.

An important part of the Sixers batting line-up and regarded as one of, if not the best fielder in the competition, Silk is one of the longest-tenured players in the competition.

He has recently passed 100 T20 appearances for the club, having made his debut in BBL|03. Only second to Moises Henriques for total runs scored in club history, Silk has scored 2007 runs at 31.85 in 112 matches, with six half-centuries and a strike rate sitting at a tick over 125.

He has taken 70 catches in 112 matches though and is a constant presence for the Sixers no matter which role he is played in.

The new contract will see him remain with the Sixers until at least the end of BBL|15, which will go through to the end of the 2025-26 summer and see Silk being 33 years of age. It means he could retire a one-club BBL player.

The head of the Sydney Sixers Jonathan Robinson-Lees said he was excited by Silk re-signing with the men in magenta.

โ€œJordan is a Sydney Sixer through and throughโ€ Robinson-Lees said in a statement.

โ€œHe is an integral part of this club, and we are thrilled that he has signed on for another three years.

โ€œThe energy that Jordan brings is contagious across the club and he is a true professional, on and off the field.

โ€œJordan is a fan favourite and it is fantastic that Sixers fans can see him in action for years to come.โ€

Silk will be part of the Sixers team who play the Brisbane Heat in the Challenger at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Thursday.
