Socceroos winger Craig Goodwin has spoken about whether he will make a potential return to the A-League competition in the future.
Capped 25 times by Australia, Goodwin moved to the Saudi Pro League for Al Wehda FC after eight years with Adelaide United in four separate stints that started in 2014.
Born and bred in Adelaide, he is the club's all-time leading goalscorer and won the Johnny Warren Medal just two seasons ago after a sensational 15 goals and 10 assists - only the third player in the competition's history to record 10 goals and 10 assists.
Scoring two goals this season with Al Wehda FC, he admitted that he hasn't ruled out moving back to Australia once his contract ends in June 2025.
โYeah, obviously Adelaide holds a special place in my heart and Adelaide United does as well,โ Goodwin said at a press-conference as he prepares to face China on Thursday in Adelaide.
โIf there's the opportunity in the future, we will see when that comes.
"But for now, I've taken this opportunity to really test myself against some of the best players in the world in a strong competition. I'm enjoying that challenge.
โI have another season to go there and it's going well.
"We'll see what happens. Whether I leave at the end of the season is something to think about but at the moment I'm enjoying myself.โ
