World No.2 Andy Murray has become the first man to win consecutive Olympic singles gold medals, with a four set win over Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro in the gold medal match.
Murray's 7-5, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 win, makes him the first tennis player to win two Olympic gold medals, after he claimed gold at London in 2012.
Earlier, Kei Nishikori defeated Rafael Nadal to win the Bronze medal.
