Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton won the USGP held at the Circuit of the Ameirca's on Sunday afternoon (local time) with Valtteri Bottas finishing fifth, enough points to hand the Mercedes team their fourth consecutive Constructors crown.

While it wasn't enough to give Lewis his fourth drivers crown with Sebastian Vettel finishing second, the Brit now has a 66 point lead over the Ferrari driver with just three races remaining.

This means all he needs to do is finish fifth in Mexico this weekend, no matter what Vettel does, and the title is his.

On the final lap, Max Verstappen made a move on Kimi Raikkonen for the final place on the podium as the Finn was conserving fuel, however, FIA stewards deemed that the Red Bull driver had made the move illegally, as he put all four wheels off the circuit to make the move, and took the place away from the young Dutchman.

His father was far from impressed by the decision, and the youngster himself was saddened when he realized he was the fourth man in a cool down room meant for three.

Therefore, he was relegated to fourth, the sole remaining Red Bull as Daniel Ricciardo retired early in the event, with Valtteri Bottas fifth.

Esteban Ocon held off late charges from Carlos Sainz to finish sixth while his teammate, Sergio Perez finished eighth. Felipe Massa crossed the line in 9th for Williams with Danii Kvyat finishing tenth in his return for Toro Rosso.
