The Australian Boomers have defeated Argentina 97-59 in the quarter finals of the Tokyo Olympics in a dominant display.
Sharpshooter Patty Mills led the way for the Aussies with 18 points, whilst four other Boomers scored in double digits in what was Australia's most impressive win to date in the tournament.
Argentina formed a strong start to the game through NBA point guard Facundo Campazzo as they took a 22-18 lead over the Boomers at quarter time.
The Boomers started to gain ascendency in the second quarter with Dante Exum and Matisse Thybulle providing a much needed spark off the bench.

Thybulle along with big man Nick Kay's defensive efforts were impressive as they were able to negate Argentinian legend Luis Scola, forcing the former NBA forward into his third foul in the second quarter, as the Boomers took a 39-33 lead into half-time.
From then on, it was one way traffic for Australia in the second half as they piled on the points with every single player on the roster hitting the scoreboard, whilst holding Argentina to a low 59 points for the game.
The win sets up a mouth-watering semi-final clash against the United States, the reigning gold medallists of the past three Olympic Games and a powerhouse in international basketball.
Mills, experienced NBA veteran, remained level headed whilst addressing the media following the Boomers' quarter-final win and looking ahead to their semi-final with the United States.
"For us to be able to be the best, we have to beat the best. There's only one thing that we're focused on, and we have to get it done," Mills said alluding to that elusive gold medal that the Boomers are chasing for the first time in Olympic history.
"Tonight's performance was a result of the belief in each individual on this team."
The Boomers and USA faced off in an exhibition match in Las Vegas in the lead up to the Olympics, with Australia prevailing 91-83, which both sets of players will have in the back of their minds when they face off Thursday afternoon.
After falling to France in their opening matchup of the tournament, the Americans have started to hit their stride with a strong 95-81 win over European powerhouse Spain in the quarter-final.
Brooklyn superstar Kevin Durant starred with 29 points, whilst four other players scored double figures in a similar offensive display to the Boomers' quarter-final performance.
The Boomers will take great confidence heading into the semi-final with their exhibition win over USA, but the Americans have had the wood over the Australians in recent Olympic history, beating the Boomers in Rio, London and Beijing.
In the other semi-final, Slovenia take on France with the winner booking a place in the gold medal game to face either Australia or the United States.
