All Blacks rugby legend Jonah Lomu has passed away at age 40.
His passing was unexpected, however, he had been suffering from kidney disorders since 1995 when he was diagnosed with nephritic syndrome.
Lomu played 63 tests for the All Blacks, from 1994 to 2002, scoring 37 tries.
"We're all shocked and deeply saddened at the sudden death of Jonah Lomu," New Zealand Rugby chief executive Steve Tew said.
"We're lost for words and our heartfelt sympathies go out to Jonah's family. Jonah was a legend of our game and loved by his many fans both here and around the world."
