Melbourne Victory legend Archie Thompson has signed with NPL club Heidelberg United.
Thompson will be officially unveiled as a Heidelberg player on Wednesday.
The 37-year-old was released by the Victory last month, after 91 goals in 224 appearance for the three-time A-League champions.
Thompson had been liked with NPL 2 side, Whittlesea Rangers, but Heidelberg managed to beat them to the punch, securing the most sought after free agent in the NPL.
However, he could reportedly be in line for a move to another A-League side or a Malaysian side in he coming months.
Heidelberg is currently third on the NPL ladder, but has been knocked out of the FFA Cup.
