The Commonwealth Games, held every four years, is an international multi-sport event featuring athletes from the Commonwealth Nations, such as Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Wales, Scotland and New Zealand.

The event includes various sports, many similar to those in the Olympics, and takes place midway between Olympic Games.

Among all events at the Commonwealth Games, swimmers are most likely to win the most medals. This is because many swimmers compete in multiple races, covering different distances for each stroke, and often participate in various relays as well.
