Australian duo Meg Lanning and Jess Jonassen have led the Delhi Capitals into the WPL final after finishing the regular season on top of the table.
Defeating the UP Warriorz by five wickets, it has earned Delhi a spot to go straight into the inaugural Women's Premier League final.
Their opponent in the final with either be the Warriorz or the Mumbai Indians, with both teams facing off against each other for a chance to compete against Delhi.
Competing against fellow Australian teammates Alyssa Healy and Tahlia McGrath, Meg Lanning was able to show her worth with the bat.
Hitting a quickfire 39 runs off 23 balls, she got the innings going and set the benchmark for the rest of the batting innings for Delhi.
Along with Jonassen's 1/24, this ensured the Capitals walked away with a five-wicket victory and advance into the final.
Speaking post-match, Jonassen couldn't believe she and her teammates made it into the final but insisted that all focus is now solely on winning the final.
"For us to finish top of the table is obviously a huge advantage, we get a few days off and get straight through to the final," she said.
"I'm incredibly proud of the girls and how we've come back from a few setbacks. We've bundles of international experience, some incredible talent within the group and a real family atmosphere.
"One job is done, we're through to that final, but one more big game to go."
