Star striker Besart Berisha says he is expecting big things from new signing Jai Ingham.
Victory announced the signing of Ingham, who has been training with the A-League side for the past month, from NPL club Hume City earlier today.
Berisha said that Ingham has the potential to have an immediate impact in the competition.
“I personally have high expectations about him. He is a great, young player,” Berisha said of the 22-year-old.
“He's very quick, and a very technical, strong player. We're all really happy he signed for us, and hopefully he gets an opportunity on Friday night.
“I hope he finds his luck here. I believe in him. I hope he can help us to now pick up more points.
“He's good one-on-one, he's dynamic, and he's very quick with the ball. Things like this can help with our game. He brings everything we need.”
Victory will be looking to make it two wins in a row to get their title defence back on track after a disappointing past month when they face the Central Coast Mariners in Geelong on Friday.
