Thomas Burgess could be the next NRL star to make the switch to the NFL, with the Rabbitohs forward working out with the New York Giants this week.
Burgess was linked earlier in the year to the NFL with reports suggesting he only signed a one-year deal to keep his options open.
It is understood Souths have been aware of his interest in American football for some time while Manly officials were also told of Burgess's desire to switch codes as part of their negotiations to sign the 22-year-old.
