Novak Djokovic has cruised into the semifinals of the Australian Open where 17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer awaits.
Djokovic defeated No.7 seed Kei Nishikori with relative ease 6-3 6-2 6-4 on Tuesday night at Rod Laver Arena.
After cruising through the first two sets, Djokovic was broken in his opening service game of the third set and trailed 2-0, but Nishikori failed to take full advantage, as Djokovic broke straight back.
However, Nishikori wasn't done with just yet, breaking Djokovic once more to lead 3-1. But he failed to capitalise once again, as he was broken twice more as Djokovic claimed the third set 6-4 to advance to another Australian Open semifinal.
Earlier in the day, Roger Federer defeated Czech Tomas Berdych 7-6, 6-2, 6-4 to book his place in the semifinals and set up a clash with the current world No.1 Novak Djokovic.
