Christian Eriksen long term future has almost been decided, as the Dane is close to putting pen to paper on a new five-year deal.
The 24-year-old currently earns justย ยฃ32,000 a week as it stands, although the new deal will see Eriksen's wages jump up toย ยฃ80,000 per week.
Both parties were keen to get a deal done before the season began, but it almost didn't eventuate after Eriksen reportedly asked forย ยฃ150,000 a week, a figure the Spurs were not prepared to pay.
Despite the early disagreement, theย ยฃ80,000 will still place the Danish international amongst the club's top earners, and the deal will see Eriksen remain at White Hart Lane until at least 2020.
