A total of 36 nations have been represented at the UEFA European Championships finals over the course of the competition's 64-year history, with 10 countries having claimed the title over the years.
Russia were the first-ever victors at the 1960 tournament in France but failed to win a second competition, finishing runners-up on three occasions.
Spain - who are one of two nations to have won the Euros three times - were the second champions four years later when they hosted the tournament.
Germany have also won three Euros titles, while France and Italy are the only others to have claimed multiple championships as the Czech Republic, Greece, Netherlands, Portugal and Slovakia joined Russia with one each.
England's run to the 2020 final saw them amass an all-time best finish of second place, with Serbia the only other to reach the end without being successful, doing so in 1960 and 1968.
Seven nations have failed to get past the group stage in the history of the Euros, with Scotland featuring on four occasions and being unable to reach the knockout stage.
