Every winter, the cream of the northern hemisphere's rugby crop faces off for the right to call themselves champions, with Six Nations fixtures fought out on battlegrounds between Dublin and Rome.
Unsurprisingly, six countries make up the Six Nations tournament: England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales, with the Italians joining the old Five Nations competition in 2000.
Although the tournament is more sprint than a marathon, with just five match days taking place across the early months of the year, just 13 teams have completed perfect campaigns - known as a Grand Slam - across the course of the 21st Century, a true testament to the strength of competition on offer.
From that first expanded tournament to kick off the millennium to Ireland's recent dominance of their neighbouring rivals, here is every Six Nations champion.
