Blacktown City v Sydney FC

Sydney United Sports Centre, Edensor Park

Kick-off: 7:30pm AEST

You'd be hard pressed to find a more in-form state league team across Australia than Blacktown City.

After putting six goals past Sydney United in the round of 32 and three past the Bonnyrigg White Eagles in the round of 16, City rounded off an exciting month of football by beating Sydney United once again, this time in the PS4 NPL NSW grand final.

The way City have been playing, they'll be itching to come up against the might of A-League side Sydney FC.

The Sky Blues have beaten Wollongong Wolves and Perth Glory en route to the final eight, and Graham Arnold's men will be looking to progress through to the semi-final stage for the first time in the clubs history.

Sydney will be looking to finalise preparations ahead of the A-League season and will start heavy favourites for Wednesday night's clash, although this Sydney derby has the potential to be a cracker.

Melbourne City FC v Western Sydney Wanderers FC

AAMI Park, Melbourne

Kick-off: 7.30pm AEST

Tim Cahill will play his first home game for Melbourne City as City host Western Sydney Wanderers for a spot in the final four.

City have had to grind out two one-goal wins so far in this competition, as consecutive 2-1 wins over Floreat Athena and Brisbane Strikers see them in the last eight.

John van't Schip's men will need to step up on Wednesday night when they face their first A-League opponent in the tournament, although the Wanderers will be more than ready.

Wins against Wellington Phoenix and Edgeworth Eagles which saw them combine for eight goals across those fixtures shows the firepower of the Wanderers, and a massive scalp against league rivals will be on the minds of all involved with Western Sydney.

This is the only all-A-League tie of the quarter-final round, so expect nothing less then a fantastic encounter.
