German goalkeeperย Marco Kwiotek has been arrested by Police followingย SV Volderort's record-breaking lossย to local rivals PSV Oberhausen 43-0.
The 25-year-old keeper was arrested as he arrived for training five days after the loss.
The score was 35-0 at half time and at one stage during the match, the team was only able to field eight players. The opposition felt so bad that they took players off the pitch in order to even the numbers.
The Sun has reported that he has not been seen since the arrest, but Police have not given anyย reason as to why he was taken into custody.
As he was led away from the training pitch in western Germany, he called out to his teammates:ย โThey just want to clear some things up.โ
