New Hurricanes captain Dane Coles is in doubt for this weekend's season opener against the Brumbies.
Coles picked up a calf injury at training on Wednesday.
He has been named in the side to face the Brumbies at GIO Stadium on Friday, but is unlikely to take his place in the team.
Coles missed all three of the Hurricanes' pre-season matches due to niggling injuries.
