Jack Robinson has nabbed the top award at the 2024 Western Australian State Surfing Champions award ceremony.

Robinson won the 2024 Ian Cairns Male Surfer of the Year award after a spectacular 12 months that saw him represent Australia at the 2024 Paris Olympics, winning a Silver medal and the Mike McAuliffe Performer of the Year award.

Following his incredible achievements on the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT), Robinson will be looking to continue his form heading into 2025.

โ€œIt's amazing, I'm super grateful,โ€ Robinson said.

โ€œYou know, it's where I grew up, and I know a lot of people say that, but I feel it when I come back here.

"It really grounds me every time I come home; I never forget it. So cool to see all the talent and everyone showing up here today.โ€

The event saw 48 more State Champions earn awards in categories and disciplines such as shortboard, longboard, bodyboard, and stand-up paddle.

โ€œJack's success is an inspiration to surfers everywhere, especially here in Western Australia,โ€ added Surfing WA CEO Mark Lane.

โ€œHe's not only an outstanding competitor but also a role model for the next generation of surfers coming through.

"His dedication, resilience, and sportsmanship set a new standard for excellence in our sport.โ€
