The Tasmania JackJumpers have confirmed they have extended the tenure of assistant coach Mark Radford for a further two seasons.

A strong part of the club, Radford has been with the team since 2020, following stints as an assistant coach with the Adelaide 36ers (2010-13) and Perth Wildcats (2008-10).

His resume also includes being the head coach of Basketball Tasmania (2016-20), the head coach of the Australian World University Games team (2017), the assistant of the U19s Australian team (2014-16) and the head coach of the North West Thunder (2001-08).

"We are happy to have Mark extend his agreement with the club for another two years," Tasmania JackJumpers COO Darren Smith said in a statement.

"His passion for grassroots basketball in Tasmania and his NBL experience, especially during our 23/24 championship season, make him an integral part of our team.

"Mark's renewed commitment to the JackJumpers is a testament to the strong bond he shares with the team and the Tasmanian community.

"His leadership continues to be a driving force behind the club's growth, and he remains an integral part of the JackJumpers' coaching staff as they work towards a successful season, and ultimately, winning another championship."
