Australian NFL star and former South Sydney Rabbitohs U20s player Jordan Mailata has agreed to a new contract that will see him earn a reported $33.4m per year.
Inking a three-year contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles, Mailata will remain with the team until the end of the 2028 NFL season
The new contract will see him become the fourth highest-paid offensive tackles in the league - behind Laremy Tunsil, Trent Williams and Andrew Thomas - and will earn approximately $33.4m per year, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The agreement between the Eagles and Mailata comes after he has racked up 62 games for the franchise as well as appearing in the Super Bowl LVII against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Only 27, he joined the NFL through the international player pathway (IPP) after being a member of the Rabbitohs U20s team in 2017.
At the Bunnies, he scored eight tries in 12 games and played alongside players such as Keaon Koloamatangi but would ultimately leave rugby league after declining a contract from the club at the conclusion of the 2027 season.
