Australian Nick Kyrgios has been bundled out of the Masters 1000 tournament Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati by Croatian young gun Borna Coric.

Kyrgios went down in three grueling sets, 7-6, 4-6, 7-6.

Coric got what looked to be the crucial break in the third set, to set up a 5-3 lead.

However, Kyrgios broke straight back to level proceedings, before forcing it to a tiebreak.

The 21-year-old appeared to have the upper hand in the final set tie break, leading 4-2 at the change of ends and earning the first match point at 6-5.

However, Coric fought back and managed to save the match point, before winning the tiebreak 8-6.

Coric will now face Rafael Nadal in the round of 16.
