Aussie Nick Kyrgios is through to the second round at Wimbledon, but not without controversy once again.
Kyrgios defeated Czech veteran Radek Stepanek 6-4, 6-3, 6-7, 6-1 in a near perfect first round match.
However, the talking pointย will once be talking about Kyrgios' exchange with umpire Mohamed Lahyani.
Lahyani gave Kyrgios a code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct for swearing after losing the third set.
Kyrgios then questioned the code violation and demanded an explanation, also claiming double standards.
โWhat did I do?โ Kyrgios said.
โWhat did I say. I want to know what I said?โ
โYou know what you said. I'm not going to repeat it,โย Lahyani said.
The 21-year-old then continued the argument at the following change of ends.
โEvery single person that has said that word in this chair has got a code violated. You telling me that?โ
But, the exchange did not fluster the young Australian, who rallied to take the fourth set 6-1 and book a second round match-up with German wildcard Dustin brown.
Meanwhile, fellow Aussie Bernard Tomic is locked at two sets all with Spaniard Fernando Verdasco, with the match to resumeย on Wednesday.
