Coach Darren Lehmann has admitted that Australia made a mistake with its selection for the fourth Test.

Australia made one change for the match, with batsman Shaun Marsh coming into the side to replace brother and all-rounder Mitch Marsh.

Shaun Marsh managed scores of zero and two in his two innings, while Lehmann admitted that an extra seam bowler may have been useful on the green pitch.

“We wanted the extra batter and spoke to the captain about it in this particular game,” Lehmann said.

“But we've always (previously) wanted five bowlers, so we probably got that selection wrong.

“(I am) happy to admit when we're wrong, you don't get everything right.

“We're really strong on having five bowlers and we didn't do that this game.

“In the end it didn't matter, we only bowled once and we didn't bat well enough.

“As a coach and as selectors, we've got things wrong at certain times there's no doubt about that.

“We've got to own up like players have to and everyone else that our performances weren't good enough, full stop.”
