Liverpool has defeated Paris Saint-Germain 0-1 in one of the more remarkable performances this season.

For 90 minutes away from home, Liverpool was strangled by a marauding PSG, who seemed to create big chance after big chance. Paris's Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia tormented the Liverpool defensive line, and if it wasn't for a certain Brazilian goalkeeper, then both would have surely hit the scoreboard.

Kvaratskhelia, in particular, wasted some golden opportunities in front of goal.

Just 40 seconds after being substituted on, Harvey Elliott scored the unlikely winner thanks to a lay-off from Darwin Nunez, completely against the run of play.

The Reds' goalkeeper, Allison, produced a performance for the ages with a string of incredible saves. The game surely wouldn't have finished 0-1 without him.

In post-game discussions, when asked on TNT sports if that was his best performance of the season, he said, โ€œprobably of my life.โ€

Allison was so good that it's hard to pick another Liverpool player who was even close to his level of performance. Regardless, Liverpool will be ecstatic that they're heading back to Anfield with a narrow lead.

In Wednesday's other matches, Bayern produced a strong performance to defeat Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen 3-0. Harry Kane continued his hot form with his third brace of 2025. His first goal was a brilliant, piercing header, thanks to a darting cross by Michael Olise, who was a constant threat for Leverkusen down the right wing.

Leverkusen will be left frustrated by Bayern's second and third goals, with Czech goalkeeper Matฤ›j Kovรกล™ fumbling a routine catch, which was mopped up by Musiala for Munich's second of the night. Edmond Tapsoba's hold on Harry Kane cost the visitors a penalty for their third conceded goal of the night.'

10-man Barcelona managed an escape against Lisbon, winning their first tie 0-1. After centre-back Pau Cabarsi saw red for a last-ditch foul on Vangelis Pavlidis, Benfica piled on the pressure with 26 shots over the 90 minutes.

A Raphina strike in the 61st minute eventually broke the deadlock, a fabulous hit from outside the box past Benfica keeper Anatoliy Trubin.

Inter Milan also recorded a comfortable 0-2 win over Dutch side Feyenoord to edge themselves closer to a quarterfinals berth, thanks to strikes from Marcus Thuram and Lautauro Martinez.

Inter had a glorious chance to go up 3-0 go begging, with an athletic penalty save from Feyenoord goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther to deny Piotr Zielinski.

All eyes are on next week for European football, with half of the current matchups within a one-goal margin heading into their respective second legs.
