FIBA Africa has confirmed the locations for the upcoming 2024 Africa Youth Camps, which will feature young basketball players aged 15 to 16 from at least 20 different African countries.
In a collaboration between FIBA Africa and the NBA, some of the best young talents from Africa will take part in two four-day camps and will provide them the opportunity benefit from top-level training and learn off some of the best coaches in the world.
It has now been confirmed that the boy's camp will take place at the Japoma Sports Complex gymnasium in Douala, Cameroon.
The girls' camp will take place at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan from October 21 to 24.
"For the present edition, the fourth one since 2021, a partnership agreement between regional offices has led to FIBA Africa joining forces with FIBA Americas, with the American branch providing technical and educational expertise to enhance the camp's unique character," a statement from FIBA read.
"Thanks to this collaboration, participants will not only receive high-level coaching but will also benefit from the guidance of experts from one of the most dynamic basketball associations in the world."
